Ten Walls Goes on the Record to Discuss Homophobic Outburst

After months of silence, the Lithuanian DJ/producer tells his side of the story

Ten Walls speaks up, but most likely will fall flat.

In the modern era of DJ culture, using homophobic slurs in an online public forum makes for a surefire way to blackball yourself - as evidenced by what transpired after Ten Walls’ Facebook rant last year. The Lithuanian DJ/producer has kept predictably tight lipped while sifting through the fallout from the incident, but he’s finally participated in an interview with XLR8R’s Marc Rowlands.

The move doesn’t show much promise as a way of returning Ten Walls to the electronic music community’s good graces, however, as he avoided many of Rowlands’ questions about his controversial remarks. When he did answer, he denied many of the accusations. “I never wrote anything that linked gay people with pedophiles,” he says. “I never called them another breed. In my post there is no gay, no homosexual, no nothing.”

Ten Walls spends his interview with Marc Rowlands delving into much greater detail on his music, however, for what fans may not have been alienated by his inflammatory attitudes. To read the whole thing in its entirety, head on over to XLR8R.
