Premiere: D-DOTs - War Child ft. Rider Shafique
D-DOTs has had a pretty busy year, with a massive release on Hot Mom USA, but he shows no signs of slowing down as he is now gearing up for a release on November 11th. Today, we're excited to premiere this track right in time to get your weekend started a little early.
The track brings a wealth of energy and excitement without feeling too cheesy or overt. In fact, there's subtlety in its power and rawness and "War Child" is a fantastic song that manages to utilize Rider Shafique's dark vocals to its best.
On the track, D-DOTs has said-
"After watching a TED talk by Emmanuel Jal describing his childhood in Africa surrounded by conflict, I immediately became inspired by his ultra-real story and transportive quality. It reminded me of a dark & tropical sounding instrumental I had been working on and I knew I wanted to link the two somehow. I then stumbled upon Rider Shafique, a dope vocalist from here in the UK. Immediately I realized he was the missing the link. Long story short, I hit him up with the beat explaining the TED talk inspiration, he then used that as a catalyst to record an amazing vocal that just fit the track perfectly."
