Ninja Tune and its sister labels have been consistently producing incredible records since their inception but its founders, Jon More and Matt Black aka Coldcut, have been relatively quiet for the last decade. Finally, they are BACK with a fresh new EP and hopefully an album in the works.

The new songs are what you would expect from the downbeat maestros, a bit of melancholy, some angst, and heavy grooves that make you sway and think at the same time.

Welcome back lads, you've been missed!

Coldcut last came onto the scene to celebrate Ninja Tune's 25th Anniversary in 2015, joining forces for a label retrospective BBC Essential Mix with fellow Ninja Seven Davis Jr. and an in-depth interview with Billboard Magazine. Best known for their cut n' paste style, Coldcut calls Only Heaven an exercise in "dissentertainment" and focus their latest single around the dubious hairdo of GOP Presidential Candidate Donald Trump. Upbeat and inspired by the rave, "Donald's Wig" is grounded around vocals by Roses Gabor and features a rip rattling breakbeat.

Previous single and title track "Only Heaven" enlists fellow Ninja legend Roots Manuva, who appears throughout the EP. "Only Heaven" also features additional production by Dave Taylor aka Switch, best known for his work with Beyonce, M.I.A. and Major Lazer.
