Phife Dawg’s Wife Announces that A Posthumous Solo Album Will be Out in 2017

It's tentatively titled 'Give Thanks' and is expected to be released in 2017.

During a renaming of the intersection of 192nd St and Linden Boulevard was officially renamed Malik "Phife Dawg" Taylor Way, Phife Dawg's wife, Desha Head Taylor, announced the release of a posthumous album. Phife Dawg had completed work on his second solo album, the follow-up to 2000's Ventilaton: Da LP before his passing. 

According to Okayplayer, she explained- 

“His solo album will be out probably sometime during the first quarter of 2017. We’re working on it now. He completed his entire solo album before he transitioned, so we’re excited about releasing that.” 

She also shared memories from when they were working on We Got It From Here… Thank You 4 Your Service detailing

“There were times where he was working on the album where he would send me video footage of him rhyming over some of the beats that you would hear on the album. He would make a certain face when hearing the beat, he would make this frown like ‘I’m feeling this,’ and you would hear his verses in the back. He was really excited about this project.”
