Exclusive Track Premier: ATAXIA Joins the Iconic Dance Label Nervous Records with "Acid Overlook EP"

AXATIA's newest EP set to release Monday on the infamous Nervous Records in NYC. And Magnetic is exclusively premiering the track here before it's official release.

Coming off of the momentum from their most recent release “The Rickaverse” on the UK label, Leftroom Records, the Detroit-based dance music duo, ATAXIA, are scheduled to release their newest EP this Monday on the prestigious Nervous Records.

The release is scheduled worldwide for Monday January 16 on Beatport. After the incredible tunes we heard with the release of “The Rickaverse,” which received an 8.5/10 rating from DJ Mag, this upcoming EP has us all sitting on the edge of our seats in anticipation.

Nervous Records, based out of NYC, is one of dance music’s most influential labels throughout the industry’s history in the US. ATAXIA’s signing will situate them along side artists like Masters at Work, Kim English, Kerri Chandler, Josh Wink, Mood II Swing and more.

One of ATAXIA’s duo, Ted Krisko, remarked on their recent signing to Nervous:

“Joining the roster at Nervous alongside some of house music’s all time heroes is bewildering. To have our music released in a catalogue that has put out defining records by Masters at Work, Josh Wink & Kerri Chandler is a true honor. I’ve owned Nervous wax since I was 15… Surreal to be putting out acid house & techno on a label that helped influence the direction of dance music.”

The release, “Acid Overlook EP” itself, is the perfect addition to the long and lustrous history at Nervous Records. “ The original track sounds fully analogue. It brings together a variety of different and extremely distinct sounds in a fashion that feels real and raw to the listener. The sounds, while reminiscent of the depths and darkness you find in techno, brings the long history of acid house and acid techno to the game.

Monday’s release will include the original track (above), as well as featuring a collaboration and additional remix from two of Detroit’s most prolific artists, Terrence Parker and Merachka.
