Coachella is undeniably one of the biggest festivals in the world, and it usually is seen as the event that launches festival season. Yesterday Goldenvoice revealed its spectacular lineup, which included Beyonce, Kendrick Lamar, Marcel Dettmann, New Order, Stormzy, Loco Dice, and more. It quickly became the event to be at this spring, as it always tends to do.
With that being said, reports also began to come out pointing to a Washington Post article that highlighted Phil Anschutz, the owner of AEG as a massive supporter an organization called the Alliance Defending Freedom campaign, a organization "sponsoring over 200 anti-LGBT bills in 34 states, including 17 bills that specifically target transgender Americans."
The Washington Post further explains that "Anschutz is also funding extremist anti-gay, anti-transgender, anti-abortion groups such as the Family Research Council and the National Christian Foundation." On top of that, he has been pointed out by Greenpeace for making his fortune in the fossil fuel industry, the major financiers for organizations.
