A while back we interviewed the founder of Limitless Life about his company's latest product called KATY, a supplement that presents an alternative to illegal substances for those that want to party safer at music festivals and concerts.

We finally got our hands on some and gave it a test drive this last weekend at a nightclub; this is what went down.

9:00 p.m. - Ingested one pill with a teaspoon of coconut oil, which is the recommended dosage. I had eaten a moderately sized dinner so didn't anticipate the effects to kick in for at least 45-60 minutes.

9:30 p.m. - Nothing yet, anticipation building but tried not to create any placebo effect, returned to playing music and chilling.

9:45 p.m. - Headed out for a drink before hitting the club, met friends at a bar and had a martini. A slight euphoric buzz began to creep in as I boarded my uber.

10:15 p.m. - Post martini, I'm feeling a full euphoric buzz that is like nothing that I've ever experienced. It's a blend of happy, excited, energetic and euphoric that is pleasantly intense.

Let's Dance!

10:55 p.m. - I'm in the nightclub and very alert, happy and euphoric and proceed to have an energy drink and vodka, as caffeine is also recommend to heighten the effects.

The feeling is best described as a slight vibration, mixed with the energy of a double espresso without all the edginess of caffeine. I also had more of a desire to dance and engage socially with people and was in a very good mood that at times became very introspective.

1:00 a.m. - downed a couple glasses of water, called an uber and headed home, the buzz was still there slightly but I was beginning to wind down and knocked off to sleep pretty easily.

The Day After

I had to be up fairly early to run some errands and found that I had a pretty restful sleep, no weird dreams or sleeplessness. Total consumption was one martini, two vodka x energy drink (small ones) and one KATY + coconut oil over the course of about 3.5 hours.

As the day progressed I did start to feel a bit spent and a little depressed and restless, this is typical of a hangover but usually with more alcohol involved. A glass of wine took the edge off and I was fine the next day. I'm not sure if KATY had anything to do with it, but there was no lasting negative effect.

Conclusion

If you are someone that parties with alcohol or other substances that might pose bigger health risks and very nasty after effects, this product is worth trying. It allows you to be present while you are out having a good time and brings about positive behavior and a very nice mellow buzz that enhances your night out in all the right ways.

I would not recommend drinking too much while you take KATY, one to three drinks over the course of an evening should do most people right.

It's very exciting to see safer alternatives to the harder substances finally coming to market and hopefully more people will consider these options as an alternative.

I'm sure everyone's experience will be slightly different, but overall I was pleased with it. I wouldn't take it every weekend but would definitely try it again and instead of doing it solo would do it with a group.
