Mysteryland's Northeast edition has announced that it will return to Bethel Woods, NY from June 9-12 in 2017 headlined by G-Eazy, LCD Soundsystem, and Major Lazer.
The rest of the lineup covers the gamut, ranging from live acts like Big Gigantic, Bob Moses, and Boogie to big bass DJs like Ghastly, Minnesota, and Bleep Bloop, and it's rounded out by stellar house selections including Guy Gerber, Leon Vynehall, Ardalan, and Skream. Of course, they tick all the other boxes, grabbing bigwigs like RL Grime, A-Trak, and Anna Lunoe, festival mainstays like Louis the Child and Eats Everything, and recent risers like Ekali, Graves, and Dombresky too.
The international festival brand, which was started by ID&T in the Netherlands during the early 1990s, first came to Bethel Woods, the historic site of Woodstock, in 2014 as a 21+ affair. It's since opened the doors to those 19+, and marks a major return for LiveStyle, the rebranded carcass of SFX Entertainment, a now-defunct company that intended to conglomerate electronic music. Given the company's significant troubles in 2016 (for example, its southeast counterpart TomorrowWorld was cancelled in 2016), Mysteryland and its other 2017 festivals may serve as a major litmus test for its future health and stability.
Still, Mysteryland USA last year was largely unaffected by its corporate parent's troubles, and that along with the smashing 2017 lineup give us great hope for the Mysteryland experience this year. Personally, it's got me angling for a way to make it out, ideally with some good friends in tow. As a special treat, the festival has also brought out the Desert Hearts crew (who throw one of the best festivals) to bring their vibes to Mysteryland this year, making for an unbeatable experience. You can check out the full line-up below, and tickets will be available through Mysteryland's website.
