Doorly is heading out to the US for a special Doorly and Friends tour with Skream, Kolsch, Soul Clap, Tensnake and DJ Pierre, among others, and with all that he's got in store for his fans across the pond, we knew we had to sit down to learn more.

Check out his playlist and read our interview with him below!

Hey Doorly, thanks for taking the time to talk to us! You're getting ready for your Doorly & Friends tour. What prompted you to come up with this idea of touring with various artists at various spots?

It’s just something I’ve always done, I’ve been a promoter and run my own club nights my entire career so its natural to me to help curate line ups where possible around the world as well. Having a line up carefully selected for its musical flow and a lovely fun group of DJ’s excited to be playing with each other makes the best atmosphere for a party for the crowd as well.

Along with that, what can people expect from the tour?

In this next month or so we’re hitting London, Berlin, Ibiza, SXSX in Austin, Miami Music week & Los Angeles to name a few and joining me will be, Skream, Soul Clap, Basement Jaxx, solardo, Red Rack’em, Tensnake, DJ Yoda, Darius Syrossian, and loads more. I also have my favourite DJ right now joining my Miami party as a very special surprise guest to play the closing set!

You've been on tour around the entire world, and traveling can be exhausting and stressful. How do pack and manage to keep yourself sane through these intense schedules you sometimes have to have?

Packing can be tricky especially as I hate to check a bag as my flight schedules usually don’t allow the time and I carry so much live equipment with me. The most important things I bring are things like a full size pillow from my bed at home so I can sleep whenever and wherever I get the chance whether that’s an airport bench, in a car or backstage at a festival. Also I take a lot of vitamins on the road which helps my energy and fatigue no end. I’m super lucky that I can sleep quite easily on the road or I definitely would struggle. I have an iPad always full of movies, nice non-club music and TV shows to watch on the go so I can feel relaxed wherever I am.

You've also made a playlist for us, and we'd love to know how and why you chose these tracks!

These were just a nice cross section of what I listen to in my downtime. I gravitate towards golden era hip-hop, disco and Balearic stuff generally. If you enjoyed this mix then check out my Roadshow of Wrong mix on my Soundcloud or one of my sunset sets from mambo in Ibiza.

Finally, what else can we expect from you for the rest of 2017?

I’m off around the world again for the second time this year already, Hitting USA, Asia, Europe and Australia in the next two months which will lead me back into my 12th Season in Ibiza and my residencies there which this summer will see me back at my spiritual home for Doorly & Friends at Pikes and also Elrow plus loads more that I cannot mention just yet.
