Spotify has announced that they have signed a deal with digital rights agency Merlin, an agency that represents XL Recordings, Domino, and Warp, among others, which will offer a delaying option on releases, which will delay streaming by up to two weeks for Spotify's free users.

The streaming platform has been working on gaining paid subscribers, and recently signed a similar deal with Universal Music Group, which includes artists like Kanye West, Ariana Grande, and Lana Del Rey.

More details are sure to come.
