Akomplice Clothing has teamed up with FILA on an apparel and footwear capsule collection, and today, they have unveiled photos of their collaborative shoes.
The collection was inspired by the Yucatan and their ecosystem, and the press release notes that even the minute details were created with the geography in mind-
"the light green on the insole, tongue tag and heel, represents jungle foliage and the Caribbean Sea. Purple on the outsole, logo and lining stands for ocean coral and the fruit produced by the tropical climate, while the light brown base symbolizes the sand and limestone on which the region is founded."
The Yucatan is an important part of Akomplice's core DNA (with founder Patrick Liberty calling the town of Akumal home), s this collection is particularly important for the fashion company.
The shoe collection is slated to drop in limited quantities via akomplice's webstore here on May 5. The apparel portion will be out soon.
