CannaSmack has been at the forefront for adapting to the needs of the people while respecting our planet since their inception in 2014. While the company has always used animal-cruelty free methods to creating their products, including their promise to never test on animals and sourcing animal-friendly ways to get the wax they need for their lip line, they've recently shifted a large part of their focus onto crafting vegan products, in partnership with animal rights non-profit- PETA.
Their latest product is the new Plain Mary Jane Vegan Lip Balm. The newest product is unflavored, paraben, sulfate, and gluten free, and a healthy way to keep your lips fresh throughout the day.
Founder Suzanne Suzanne Hoggan explains more about their latest development:
“While our original lip balms contain ethically sourced beeswax, our lotions are vegan and creating a vegan lip balm has been at the forefront of our product research and development. Adding more vegan options is a natural transition for our line. We know it matters to many of our customers and the best part is that it is all inclusive.”
On Tuesday, May 9, at 10 AM PT, CannaSmack's Marketing Manager /Creative Director Kenia Taylor will be on Cheddar, the CNBC for the millennial generation, to discuss their new hemp infused vegan line and initiative with PETA. Taylor explains further about the new line in their latest press release, noting that:
“For nearly a year, we refined the formulation by testing several plant based waxes that would allow us to create a unique, highly moisturizing vegan friendly lip balm crafted from the finest ingredients available. Vegan plant based wax adds a new texture to our line and and the result is a smooth and silky balm that compliments our existing products.”
We're excited to see what discussions take place on the future of hemp and vegan-based-products come about! Cannasmack has also pledged a charity initiative with PETA, pledging one dollar from every sale of their vegan lip balm until July 30th.
