Music Business Worldwide is reporting that Spinnin Records is up for grabs, and that two major labels are currently looking to acquire the Dutch record label. MBW further alleges that the two majors in question are Sony and Warner, and indie label "is also being perused by private equity organizations as well."
The legendary label has been home to artists like Martin Solveig, Armand van Helden, Fedde le Grand, and Tiesto in the past, and one of its key selling points is 17.1m subscribers on their Youtube page. While it's not clear who will acquire the record company, the current price tag is $100 million, so this sale is looking to be a big one.
