1 Man Dies at EDC Las Vegas, Cause Of Death Still Unknown

A 34-year-old man died early Saturday morning at EDC Las Vegas and at least another 1,000 more sought medical treatment. The Clark County coroner’s office on Monday, June 19, said that the man, Michael Adam Morse, died Saturday morning at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The cause of death has not been determined at this time.

According to authorities, 342 medical calls were made Sunday, accumulating to 1090 over the three days. Morse is the first reported death from the music festival in 2017.

Organizers say that on average 135,000 people attended the festival each night according to Billboard. Temperatures were 100 degrees or above over the span of the festival, though reasons for hospitalizations and potential connection to heat have not been determined or released at this time.
