Afrojack Revives NLW Alias For New EDC Remix

The Dutch producer prepares for festival season by breaking his traditional production style

Afrojack is mostly known for his pop and hip-hop productions, but the DJ is pulling out a new style just in time for EDC. Under the his old alias NLW, which stands for his real name "Nick van de Wall", Afrojack has remixed his own song "Life Good" featuring O.T. Genasis.

"Life Good" was originally released as collaboration with Cesqueax that took a life of it's own as a trap/hip-hop tune. Under NLW, however, Afrojack lets his dutch production style flow as he turns the song into a bouncy, bass house song that lends itself to more sets that most current headliners play at festivals or on tour. Considering the NLW alias has been untouched for quite sometime, it's refreshing to see Afrojack be versatile with releases that fit into today's dance music landscape. Perhaps we'll see more of his varied takes on his hits in near future.

At the moment, Afrojack is slated for a summer 2017 tour where he will perform at 40 shows all over the globe, including 12 sets in Ibiza. You can expect more of Afrojack mixing his sets up as he will perform some sets under other alias, Kapuchon, where he will strictly play techno sets.
