South African singer, Cara Frew, is a name that may be known to some in the electronic music world. Having collaborated with Black Coffee on his album single “I’ll Find You” and again with SNBRN & BLU J for “You Got Me,” Frew is stepping out on her own with a new EP. We have the first single "Dance," from the EP, a dance-pop song that fits into the current pop landscape.
With her latest effort, Frew’s vocal glides effortlessly over a catchy and danceable dancehall-driven beat. Jerry Yeh produced "Dance."
“I wrote ‘Dance’ the morning I found out a close friend of mine was an addict, it just made me think deeply because someone who, at least from the outside, seemed to look like he had it all together clearly struggled within,” says Frew about the single. “’Dance’ is upbeat, supposed to be fun and talks about making the most of ones life, always looking for that silver lining, loving one another, accepting oneself for who one is and not caring about what other people think.
“Dance” will be released this Friday, June 30 and the full EP will be released on July 7.
