The Paris based duo have truly captured the spirit of the early days of rave.

Pacific State takes it back to the old school with the release of "1990." Inspired by the birth of rave culture in the late 80's, Laurent Ash and Neil Curtis found that the best way for them to inject the soul back into modern music was by going back to basics. Utilizing the very tools that gave birth to acid house: the Roland 808, 909, TB-303 and even a vintage Atari ST computer. While many producers are attempting to recreate that old-school aesthetic in the box, Pacific State prefers to get thier hands dirty and in the process have created something that feels completely organic.
