Output, the software company know for virtual instruments such as Exhale, Signal, and more announced yesterday that it's now ready to step out of the grid and into the physical realm with its newest product called 'Platform', a handmade studio desk that won't cost you a small fortune. Now, you might be thinking, "What makes this desk better than any of the other desks at this price point?" Well for starters, it looks fantastic. The clean and elegant Scandinavian styling really is a wonderful thing to look at. Next, and this is big for me personally, the desk has a cable management system in the back that prevents your workspace from looking like a cluttered mess. While this is a small feature, it can have a big impact. Finally, and possibly most importantly, proceeds from every desk sold will be donated to musician and environmentalist, Ryuichi Sakamoto’s foundation, More Trees, to support their reforestation and carbon offset projects.
Take a look at the process behind Platform below.
