Digital record repository, Discogs, is taking its Crate Diggers series on the road this fall for a more organized tour across the world. They have been doing one-off events in cites with vibrant record shops and collectors for some time now and will hit the road again for some events and afterparties in cities around the world with strong vinyl scenes.
Crate Diggers brings together vinyl enthusiasts, new collectors and record shops during the day for a celebration of vinyl. Of course after there will be an afterparty in that city.
It kicks off in Portland on August 26 and then heads international to Tokyo on September 2. Crate diggers will make stops in Berlin, London, Amsterdam and Los Angeles as well. All events are free.
"Crate Diggers was born out of a deep passion and commitment to our incredible community,” says Liz Maddux, Founder of Crate Diggers. “By taking Crate Diggers on the road, I consider it a privilege to shine a light on local scenes, artists, labels and collectors throughout the world!”
