San Fransisco has long been a global hub for club life for ages, with legendary venues like Monarch, The Great Northern, Public Works, and the now defunct Ruby Skye. And, being home to some of the biggest tech companies on the planet, the Bay area has a lot to offer. But in such a competitive and established market, how does one go about creating a name for themselves and their company? This week's guest might have the answer, and her name is Jojo Walker. We actually did an industry focus on her not too long ago, but I decided it was time to take a deeper look into San Fransisco's leading lady.
In most cases, reputation and respect come from years and years of work and perseverance, but in a shockingly short period of time, Jojo has become a serious force to be reckoned with. In this episode, we discover how she went from working with a large TV company in the UK, to running potentially the only all-women-run club in the world, Halcyon, and running her own management company at the same time. She's pretty much a super hero. Please welcome, Jojo Walker to In Conversation.
