Music has lost another great talent way too soon and unexpectedly today. Linkin Park singer and frontman Chester Bennington died today at the age of 41.
According to TMZ sources, Bennington hanged himself in his Palos Verdes home on Thursday, July 20 and was found just before 9 a.m.
Bennington is survived by his six children and his wife. He struggled drug and alcohol addiction at various points.
Bandmate Mike Shinoda confirmed the news on Twitter, saying, “Shocked and heartbroken, but it's true. An official statement will come out as soon as we have one.”
Already tributes are coming in from friends, fans and artists.
