Premiere: Bensley - 'Slither' - Magnetic Magazine
This is the first single taken from his forthcoming sophomore album.

RAM Records up-and-comer Bensley is ready to make some noise. Having already earned plaudits from fans, Andy C and the label itself, the Canadian drum and bass producer is on the warpath with his sophomore artist album. To get fans ready, he is unveiling the first single “Slither,” a melodic gem of a track that finds its groove with gritty bass, very melodic synth work and even trap influences as well. And you know we are here with the premiere for you all.

“This was a personal challenge to try and make a track that would sound large in the club while retaining my style musically with as little compromise as possible. My recent fascination with synthwave and analog/lo-fi music qualities has been incorporated into the making of the intro and mid sections in the form of distortion, noise, and detuned synths,” says Bensley about the tune.

“The track is called 'Slither' because the movement of the lead melody reminds me of that of a snake. The theme has also been reinforced with some rattlesnake samples on the buildup.”

“Slither” will be released tomorrow, July 5th on Ram Records. Mash that repeat button until we get more information about when the follow up to his 2015 album Next Generation.
