Brooklyn indie-pop band HAERTS have continued their winning ways with a new remix for Philadelphia band Vita and the Woolf’s single “Feline.” The original is a bit slower and more emotional, but HAERTS decided it needed to be a bit brighter and upbeat.
“The original version of ‘Feline’ is very wintery. It was written and recorded right before a snowstorm,” says Jennifer Pague of Vita and the Woolf. “My favorite part about this remix is that Haerts was able to breath some warmth and give the song a summery feel.”
Feline” is taken from Vita and the Woolf’s new album Tunnels. The Haerts remix bring this single out from the darkness and into the warm summer light.
“Jen's music is great and it was fun to work on the song,” says Ben Gebert of Haerts. “We wanted to do something light and just reimagine it in a way where we kept her vocals and built a new track around. So it's less of a classic remix, but just a fresh take on the song.”
