Premiere: BRAUN Delivers Synth-Pop Magic On 'Silent Silence' Album Title Track

The album will be released on October 6th

Ben Braun, now known as just BRAUN, or to others as one half of synth-pop duo Mackintosh Braun, has unveiled a new single from his upcoming solo album Silent Science. We are happy to premiere the album’s title track “Silent Silence.”

The new record continues the same colorful, 80’s-influenced synth pop that you have heard from B•R•A•U•N (that is how he writes his name) in the past. B•R•A•U•N’s vocals are nestled in right beneath bright synths and punchy drums. If you want chill 80’s inspired synth music, this is for you.

“’Silent Science’ came about as I was chopping up the beginning vocal sample section, the song sort of started there. I ended up layering a bunch of synth parts over it to create the punchy sound I wanted,” says B•R•A•U•N.

“Once the track came together the lyrics flowed naturally.

“The song is about people in today's world, oblivious at times to what's in front of them, distracted and consumed. I don't pretend that I'm not apart of it, but I make a point to try and stay aware. Take a min to disconnect time to time. It's one of those songs I didn't question, just went with what I was feeling.”

The album will be released on October 6 via Driving Bell Recording Co. It can be pre-ordered now here
