Dutch DJ and producer, Franky Rizardo, has become a constant force in the world of dance music. A wanted man for gigs in Ibiza over the summer and festivals and clubs around the world, his productions have helped propel him to those heights. Now he is ready to release a brand new three track EP, Take Off, and we are happy to present the final tune from the LP, “Buzz.”
The tune is a rising and energetic cut with a sturdy bassline and spacey synths. It is a song that always seems to be rising in small increments and then slows down in short breaks, before building once again. It is meant to be played at part of a larger set within a club setting.
We also asked Rizardo a few questions about his summer and for him to take the listener through the EP.
"Buzz" will be released as part of his upcoming EP, Take Off, out on Monday, August 28th via Yousef's Circus Recordings. Pre-order it here.
What has been your highlight / most interesting moment of the summer in Ibiza?
I’ve spent lots of time on the island this year between shows and I’ve had so many good memoires. Standing Behind Joris Voorn at HÏ when he played my "Rationale" remix was pretty cool.
Why are you releasing this EP on Circus and not your own?
Yousef and Circus have been big influences for me musically so it felt right to release this EP with them. I actually had the label in mind when working on the tracks so it was amazing to be told by Yousef that they were going to sign the tracks.
Take the listener through the EP. Are there any special things they should look for?
The EP is very much inspired by my time out in Ibiza this year. "Punta Del Este" is all about those groovier moments, whilst "Take Off" & "Buzz" reflect when the party really gets going.
