The independent music label MMXVAC has taken action in order to support victims of Hurricane Harvey by releasing a sixteen-track compilation of fresh, diverse and forward thinking electronic material. MMXVAC will donate all of its proceeds from the Proximity compilation to the Houston Texan J.J. Watt relief effort via YouCaring. The Justin J. Watt Foundation is a 501c(3) non-profit whose proceeds will go 100% towards rebuilding aspects of community members lives who were affected by Hurricane Harvey. J.J. Watt has already raised more than $32.5 Million for Hurricane Harvey victims. MMXVAC hopes to donate as much money as possible while also inspiring their fellow artists in the community to make good music for a good cause.

The compilation, titled Proximity, features bass-filed tracks from genres such as future bass, dubstep, and bass house covering everyone's electronic music tastes. Two of my personal favorite tracks on the compilation are "Gravitate" and "shii." "Gravitate" is an upbeat, feel good electronic track featuring east coast based MMXVAC owner and producer SCRVP and electronic music producer Evix. "Gravitate" features some catchy pop ready vocals by Duelle and builds up to an epic breakdown at the very end.

"shii" is produced by renowned New Orleans DJ and producer duo sfam and independent producer TVBOO. sfam is best known for their signature trap style, and "shii" delivers catchy, unique sound design perfect for the dance floor. All sixteen tracks deliver excellent, upbeat electronic music production.
