Paul Kalkbrenner is bringing his Back To The Future show to the United States for the very first time next weekend in New York City. The revered German DJ and producer will bring the show to the Knockdown Center in Queens on Friday, September 22nd.
The concept for the show was first thought of in December 2014 when Kalkbrenner decided to “rediscover the music of his youth.” From there, he re-edited nearly 5,000 tracks so this isn’t someone reliving the past, but rather bringing the past into the future.
“I am going to recreate the parties that I never could attend back then: from the flyers to the imagery on location to the chill-out area,” remarks Kalkbrenner about what the tour should evoke. “That is only possible in venues that are smaller than the ones I usually perform at. My fans will experience a more intimate and exclusive live show.”
