Berlin-born and Paris-based producer, Evil Needle, is ready to release his new album Abyssal tomorrow via HW&W. The diverse and captivating 14-track LP comes with five features from the likes of Mo Vibez, Naji, Noah, Aleisha Lee and Sivey, but relies on his intricate and varied production throughout.

The album starts right out of the gate with his main influence – hip-hop and then eases back into some smoother electronic tracks. Some of the tracks like “Pas De Deux” have a smooth jazzy, electronic feel that has some hallmarks of a Kaytranada instrumental, which would make sense since they are both on the same label. Evil Needle blends electronic, R&B and hip-hop together seamlessly throughout the LP, without skipping a beat from one track to the next and the features add another great dimension to the album.

“I've always been producing a lot of different genres over the past 10 years," says Evil Needle. "This release pretty much sums up my various producing styles, ranging from House, Future Beats and RnB to Trap and straight Boom Bap. Same styles, but deeper, aka Abyssal."

Vibe out with Evil Needle on a journey into the abyssal.
