The Prodigy have signed to BMG to release their first album in three years in early 2018. The album will be released via their Take Me To The Hospital label with a single coming later this year and will see a “sustained burst of activity” through 2018 and beyond.
“The Prodigy are one of those bands who define an entire sound and can justifiably claim to be among the architects of contemporary music,” said BMG UK EVP Music Korda Marshall in a press release. “We are delighted to have the opportunity to release what will undoubtedly be one of the most important records of 2018.”
The deal brings the group further together with BMG who already publish Liam Howlett’s entire song catalogue.
Prodigy founder Liam Howlett said, “Very happy to be joining the BMG family for the next Prodigy album release under my 'Take Me To The Hospital' label, great guys who totally understand our band... Now let’s make some noise!”
No word on what the album will be called yet or any other details. They released their sixth album The Day is My Enemy in 2015. It went No. 1 in the UK.
