Summer is just so rad. I am sad to see it play its encore this Labor Day weekend but we must appreciate the good times we had, are having, and will have. It is a time to reflect on the good vibrations you received, the obstacles overcome (I know we all did and we did it together), the sun-soaked highlights and loving moments from the last few months. On this first day of September I would like to take a moment to showcase some of my favorite tracks from August in the chill dance genre. I challenge you to write down the things you appreciated from this summer and your intentions of the month ahead while listening and grooving along to this feel good soundtrack.

The Melbourne based cousin's single is dripping with UK garage beats and simmering sexy vocals and vibes. It's clubby energy would make Jamie XX proud. Really excited for their debut album "Backwater" out in October. Please come to LA soon!
"Go With It" Oliver feat. Chromeo
The funk lords featured on Oliver's brand new album? I need to fulfill my dream of dancing on a disco light up dancefloor to this song. Althoug I love the Chromeo voices my favorite part is the breakdown around the three-minute mark. It's a fantastic album so give it a couple run throughs.
"Tailwhip" Men I Trust
The smooth sounds of this funk-tinged dance track are what this chart is all about. The Montreal trio has some hits ahead of them I can tell. So happy I found them!
"Northern Lights" Satin Jackets feat. David Hark
You will feel warm and cozy dancing like a disco gypsy to this German collab from Satin Jackets and Berlin's David Harks. Its such a summery anthem.
"Standing In The Middle Of The Field" Cut Copy
The Marimba vibrations, high pitched synths, glowing backdrops and percussive palpitations are alive and making me feel excited as ever because CUT COPY IS BACK BABY! This is everything I've been hoping for from them and I better snag a ticket to their LA pit stop ASAP because that is a dance party you don't want to miss. New album is out in three weeks.
