Fall Gear Essentials: Stay Warm And Happy As Festival Season Gets Cool

Summer may be over but that doesn't mean festival season is, here is some of our favorite gear to keep you cozy this fall
Blundstone Chelsea Boots

Blundstone's OG Chelsea Boots on location in Pagosa Springs, CO

Blundstone Original 500 Chelsea Boots

As the weather starts to get colder and wetter it's time to switch it up to some proper footwear. Blundstone is a legacy Australian (Tasmania if you want to get specific) boot brand that has been making boots for over 100 years. They are a favorite of high quality outfitters like Huckberry and a true style classic. The boots are not only tough, they are also extremely comfortable thanks to XRD® Technology in the heel which helps with shock absorption.

We got a pair of the Stout Brown premium leather with olive elastic to romp around the mountains in, and they held up beautifully. From longer trails to overnight camping in colder weather, these boots are great for the city, the fest and the great outdoors. Lightweight and durable, get your Steve McQueen on and grab a pair. They also just dropped a collaboration with Ducati for you Cafe Racer types.

Bed Gear Blanket

Warming up down by the river...

Bedgear's Warm Blanket

Camping just got a whole lot warmer, and cooler... what? Yes, the Bedgear Warm Blanket has vents that allow you to either warm up or cool down your side of the blanket. This is a god send for anyone who sleeps with a partner that is opposite their temperature tastes. This blanket works for cold campsites, cabins and your bedroom, we gave it a test on a recent camping trip and it was fantastically cozy and cool! So for those of you that are looking for a blanked that can keep up with all your adventures and give you some temperature control, this just might be your new favorite blanky.

Maui Jim just got a makeover!

Maui Jim Koko Head Polarized Sunglasses

Ok, so these don't exactly keep you warm but they definitely keep your eyes protected from that fall and winter sun. Summer may be over but that doesn't mean you should forget about protecting your eyes, especially if you are on the water or in the snow. Maui Jim has always been a brand we associated with old guys and oversized Hawaiian shirts, but things are changing over on the island a bit. The new Koko Head shades bring some classic cool style to the line and the polarized lenses make everything pop in brilliant color (one of the things Maui Jim glasses are famous for). The frames are incredibly comfortable and have a nice matte finish to keep away the finger prints. Way to go MJ, we are feeling these in a big way. Now we just need the tortoise shell colorway to rock with our slim cut Reyn Spooner brah.

BauBax Travel Sweatshirt

So this is one of my favorite travel hacks in a LONG time! Aside from just keeping you warm in the cooling fall temps, this thing is an undercover MacGyver sweatshirt that packs a 15 convenient punches. So when you are gearing up for those long trans continental flights, long road trips or even a weekend long fest, the BauBax Sweatshirt is going to dial in your comfort. We have tested it on three flights already and it's now an essential part of our "travel light" kit (more coming soon on that, our new series on how to pack light for long trips). Head on over to the website to check all the variations and do yourself a favor and snag one ASAP.
