Las Vegas

A GoFundMe has been created for the victims of Sunday night’s terrorist attack in Las Vegas at the Route 91 Harvest country music festival. The fund has raised over $3.4 million and counting.

The attack has left 59 people dead and another 500 people injured after 64-year-old Stephen Paddock opened fire on the attendees from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel. The GoFundMe was started by Clark County Commission Chair Steve Sisolak and nearly 50,000 people have donated to the cause in one day. It has a goal of $4,000,000 raised, but that limit may soon be reached in the next few hours. Other business that have ties to Las Vegas or are in Las Vegas have also donated money to the victims or pledged to. For an event that has caused so much pain and suffering to so many, there is a glimmer of hope as people come together to rally around those who have been tragically impacted by this event. Now can we stop this from happening again….
