Lunice and Alchemist are two of the world’s premiere beatmakers. On their own, they can cook up fire. Together, they can make magic and they have done just that with a two-track EP, Moving Parts and we have one track “Pathwave” here as a premiere for you.

The breakbeat masterstroke was created for the Red Bull BC One World Finals, a breakdancing competition in Amsterdam on November 4th. Lunice in a behind the scenes video explains that he was a breakdancer at one point, so he knows the types of rhythms needed for the dancers. With the beats that Alchemist makes, this collaboration made perfect sense. They wanted to create an updated version of what the dancers were using for the competition and it goes beyond that as a piece of music you can dance to anywhere.

“I’ve always wanted to try and reimagine the sounds of a breakbeat being that I was a Bboy before I got into production and when Red Bull BC One and Patta offered me this opportunity I got on it immediately,”  Lunice says to Magnetic. “And to collaborate with Alchemist on top of it all really made this whole experience surreal and one-of-a-kind.”

Check out the behind the scenes video to see how the collab came together and footage of Lunice and Alchemist making the track.

Stream the full track below and get ready for the EP this tomorrow, November 16th via LuckyMe.
