SoundCloud Recaps 2017: R3hab, Unlike Pluto, Lil Uzi Vert Own Year

SoundCloud recaps 2017 and its results are a bit different from competitors.

We already went over what happened with the Spotify year end list. So it is interesting to see how that compares to other services, especially ones that have slightly different user bases. SoundCloud has unveiled has unveiled its 2017 recap and it has some different results with artists like Unlike Pluto, SZA, Lil Uzi Vert and R3hab among the dominant characters, while Ed Sheeran is still omnipresent.

Ed Sheeran is there because he was the most remixed artist of the year. Shocker. Unlike Pluto had the top electronic song in “Everything Black,” while R3hab was named the remixer of the year -- not all the surprising since he seemingly put out a million of them.

Lil Uzi Vert’s Luv Is Rage 2 was the top album of the year and his hit "XO Tour LLiF3" was the top rap/hip-hop song of the year.

It is a little disappointing that SoundCloud doesn’t have a cool wrapped recap that Spotify does, but then again, they have more pressing matters to attend to and with 40% of their staff being cut this year, that would be superfluous.

See the nifty graphic below with all of the information about what happened in 2017.
