Childish Gambino has signed a new record deal. The talented rapper, singer, producer, actor, comedian, director and just about everything else, has left Glassnote and partnered his agency/label Wolf+ Rothstein with RCA Records. New music is expected from Gambino at some point through this new partnership.
Childish Gambino, real name Donald Glover, had a very simple answer as to why he made the switch – “It was a necessary change of pace,” he told Variety.
He is already looking at a big 2018 with his five Grammy nominations from his album Awaken My Love! and the single “Redbone.” Hopefully RCA knows to just support him and not stifle his creativity.
