With Coachella stealing the spotlight yesterday, New York’s Governors Ball is attempting to do the same today as the new year gets under way. The three-day multi-genre festival has announced its complete lineup (minus one surprise). It will be headlined by Eminem, Jack White, Travis Scott, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Halsey, N.E.R.D. Silk City (a project from Mark Ronson and Diplo making its first time debut) and more.
This will be N.E.R.D's first show in New York City since 2010.
Other notable names include The Gaslight Anthem who will perform their seminal album The ’59 Sound, Khalid, CHVRCHES, Cut Copy, Dirty Projectors, D.R.A.M. and 2 Chainz.
There is a bit of everything for anyone on the bill. Dance music has names like Cut Copy, The Glitch Mob, Galantis, Lophiile and Flight Facilities on the bill. There is plenty of rap as well in Lil Uzi Vert, Jay Electronica (!!), Knox Fortune, Goldlink, BROCKHAMPTON, Russ and Post Malone.
Rock will be well represented as well with acts such as Alvvays, Pond, LANY, Third Eye Blind, Wolf Alice and The Struts.
A sprinkling of pop keeps things fun and looking towards the next stars of the future with Maggie Rogers, Billie Eilish, Margo Price, Mikky Ekko and Aurora.
The festival will take place Friday, June 1 to Sunday, June 3 on Randall's Island. Tickets are on sale now via the Governors Ball website.
