Like a bat out of hell, James Blake has released his first solo record in two years titled “If The Car Beside You Moves Ahead.” He has been busy featuring on other people’s records and touring since the release of his album The Colour In Anything.
For those looking for the smooth, crooning work of James Blake, they will be disappointed. He goes in a glitchy, experimental direction, chopping up his vocals over a shaky bass line.
The song also comes with a video that matches the glitchy nature of the tune.
Could this mean a new project is on the way from Blake? He hasn’t announced anything, but it could be something smaller like an EP or a few more experimental B-sides for a very delayed album deluxe pack. We will see.
