Have a peek inside to see a little of what you missed at Minimal Effort this past New Year's Eve in L.A.

The 90 plus year old MacArthur Hotel hosted electronic music's marquee event this past New Year's Eve, Underrated Presents' latest edition of Minimal Effort. A mid-sized electronic music event series which returned the historic L.A. hotel after putting on a late-nighter there back in March of 2015. Fast-forward to the end of 2017 and the party came back taking over two ground-level dance-floors and two large ball-rooms with a heavyweight of underground talent to shut the door on 2017. However, if you're like me, you probably found yourself in the upstairs Grand Ballroom raving away the final hours of 2017 with three of the night's most dazzling headliners all in one room. Oona DahlDJ Tennis, and the incomparable Maya Jane Coles.

Culprit bosses, Droog opened up the night in the upstairs ballroom and the All Day I Dream resident Oona Dahl soon followed with an unexpectedly diverse range of music. A set that that opened with progressive and developed with some big, banging tunes like one of 2017's biggest. Enrico Sangiuliano's Drumcode weapon known as "Astral Projection."

The torch was then passed onto Life & Death's DJ Tennis who held the honors of ringing in the new year followed by the somewhat elusive Maya Jane Coles who closed the night out  with a buoyant set of techno that kept everyone hanging around and left them wanting more once it was over.
