Tyler, The Creator continues to shine into 2018. After a banner 2017 where he released his new album Flower Boy, while his single “See You Again” made it onto radio and earned him performance slots all across late night. With a year of touring ahead, he sat down with comedian Jerrod Carmichael for in-depth interview to talk about the album and more.
Carmichael doesn’t shy away from the interview right from the start, noting the subject matter was difficult and asking the rapper “are you ok?” Then they get into where the album came from personally and how it all came together, including working with various people like Lil Wayne and who influenced the process like Stevie Wonder.
The interview is an hour, but dives into how personal the LP was and Tyler, The Creator’s psyche.
