Australian drum and bass icons, Pendulum have been pretty quiet over the past six years, occasionally resurfacing with a few members here and there for DJ sets or coming back together for festival set after Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen left to form Knife Party. That is about to change with the announcement of a new album titled Reworks that will be released next month. In addition to this project, they are also unveiling The Complete Works box set.
Reworks sounds like a look back and dipping into nostalgia of old records, but the group promises that it will be unlike any project the group has released so far.
The first glimpse (single and more) of Reworks will be released on March 16.
There have been signs of a Pendulum revival in 2018. They are playing London’s Printworks in April, plus a gig at Reading & Leeds in August. Last August, Rob Swire tweeted he was “so fucking bored of EDM and lit drops and Serum patches and fEsTiVaL bAsS. I'm gonna make a new Pendulum album.” That album is almost here.
