Swedish producing duo Snow Culture has unveiled an unofficial remix for New York City-based singer Tei Shi. Taking on one of the records “Keep Running” from Tei Shi’s recent, 2017 album Crawl Space, Snow Culture flip it into a darker and moodier jam without losing too much of the original vibe.
The pair keep a lot of the verses from Tei Shi, but then add some dark and brooding percussion in the drop, while pitch and use her voice for the melody with repetitive bursts.
“This song is so cool, it’s both the slowest song we’ve heard in years but still manages to feel upbeat. It makes you want to dance, but if you try it looks like you dance in slow motion, try it - it’s kinda funny,” explain Snow Culture. “Anyway, we thought we’d make our own version, let the setting be some dirty intoxicated after-hours club restroom, slow motion and red strobes, darken the whole thing up a bit.”
Snow Culture is comprised of Oskar Sikow, known as a writer and producer for artists like LANY, Kacy Hill, SKOTT and Kate Boy and Ana Diaz, making her English debut with the project.
