MGMT Release Their First Album in Five Years 'Little Dark Age'

MGMT have released their first album in five years.

MGMT have released their first album in five years, Little Dark Age. The new album follows their 2013 self-titled third album MGMT.

Little Dark Age sees the group find their groove again from the mid-2000’s when they were at the top of the synthwave / indie rock world. It is good to see them back in fine form after nearly a decade of missteps and searching. There are a few synth-pop records and brooding, melodic tracks on here, with plenty of guitar and slow, melancholic synths with some clear ‘80s influences.

There aren’t the massive records like “Kids” on here, though “One Thing Left To Try” comes close, so their tour this spring and summer will likely be a little slower paced if you want a more relaxed show from MGMT.
