Electronic duo Audiofly, aka Anthony Middleton and Luca Saporito, have announced a new watch for ocean conservation. Designed by Titan Black, the watch is to raise awareness and funds for ocean conservation. They have partnered with Pelagic Life Trust on this initiative.
The project is something years in the making and close to the their hearts.
“This project has been over two years in the making and we are ecstatic it’s finally seeing the light of day. It means everything to work on a project that puts the safeguarding of our oceans at the forefront and might ultimately inspire other people to be more environmentally conscious,” Audiofly say in a statement.
“We live in an age where picking a cause that resonates with you has become of paramount importance. More importantly the process has made us much richer people with a wider perspective. Knowledge empowers you and we have experienced it first hand. We would love this project to have the same effect on the people we are presenting it to and ultimately cause a chain reaction across the scene.”
50% of the proceeds from sales of the watch by both Audiofly and Titans Black will go to the charity. Palegic Life Trust is a non-profit marine conservation trust based in Mexico. It created the Open Ocean Safari, a safe and sustainable shark dive operation, which encourages fisherman to stop killing deep-water fish and also moving towards shark diving tourism.
“We have been involved in raising money for several charities in the past through events but this kind of collaborative venture is much more connective and enjoyable with several party's coming together to push a positive message, through their creativity and the need to contribute to the solution,” says Audiofly We will of course continue to work with Pelagic life and anything else that gets in our way!!!!”
