Brian Eno is prepping a new, large box set titled Music From Installations that will feature loads of rare, new and unreleased music from the acclaimed composer, producer and musician.
The six-CD or nine-vinyl box set features the music he has used in various installations from 1986 until now and beyond.
“If you think of music as a moving, changing form, and painting as a still form, what I’m trying to do is make very still music and paintings that move. I’m trying to find in both of those forms, the space in between the traditional concept of music and the traditional concept of painting,” Eno says in a press release.
The box set comes in various formats for CD and vinyl.
Then the 9 LP super deluxe edition vinyl box set comes with the with 64-page book and download card (seen above).
He has also released the tracklist for the box set, including descriptions of where some of them were used around the world. Some of these were limited runs and available online, so this is in the end a little gimmicky, but for those who want all of this music in one spot, a potentially worthwhile investment.
