What is it about Brazilian disco that sounds so damn good?

Razor-N-Tape, one badass label out of Brooklyn, NY, consistently churns out exceptional disco releases. This year, for Record Store Day, label co-boss JKriv is unleashing "Ferias '77 Reworks", a 2 pack of his very own Brazilian disco re-works. At eight tracks total, this release sets a seriously impressive high water mark; 45 magnificent minutes of pure Brazilian bliss. To promote this release I've locked down a premiere of "Era Um Era", a booty swinging slow-jam that is seriously the stuff of gods.

This track starts off with no foreplay. As soon as the song kicks off, its swanky beats slap you in the face, waking you up to the fact that you've teleported onto a speedboat off Ipanema's beautiful sandy coast. This is an overtly pleasurable experience, laying the ideal foundation for the blissful vocals to float in airily like a sweet smelling breeze. As twilight nears, the track takes on a magical quality, just like the last rays of a long days setting sun.

Rest assured, the rest of the tracks on JKriv's Ferias '77 Reworks are equally as enthralling. The last Brazilian compilation RNT dropped sold out quick so you're definitely going to want to pre-order here. It will also be in all participating shops worldwide that are stocking for Record Store Day

In case you didn't know, April 21st marks this year's worldwide Record Store Day. On the 3rd Saturday in April every year, record stores across the globe unveil special releases, cut prices, and host in-store performances all in the name of our dear lord Wax. For vinyl lovers world-wide this is akin to Christmas; a day of celebration at the glorious gifts label runners bestow upon us mere mortals.
