If you are into house music, you have likely heard Franky Rizardo’s records. The Dutch producer, DJ and label owner is one of the most in demand individuals in the business on the release side and doing gigs. He is returning to Joris Voorn’s & Edwin Oosterwal’s Rejected after releasing “Call Upon Me” at the end of 2017. Though the new single “Revoke” comes out on Friday, we are happy to premiere it for you today.

“Revoke” is another quality slice of house music from Rizardo. It slowly builds with some crisp hi-hats and drums underneath a flickering synth melody.

We also quickly chatted with Rizardo to find out what drew him to Rejected, how the release came together and what he has coming up in 2018.

“Revoke” will be released this Friday, April 6 via Rejected. Pre-order the record on Beatport. Stream the tune below.

1. What has drawn you to Rejected to release music recently?

Joris has always been an inspiration to me, and his label has always released quality music over the years. Edwin who runs the label is also really nice to work with, and after the success of ‘Call Upon Me’ last year I felt it was right to follow it up with another collaboration with the guys.

2. With your own label, when do you decide to release something on somebody else's label?

My label LTF Records has taken a bit of a back seat in recent times. At the moment I’m really just focusing on collaborating with other artists and brands and getting to know more people – if I like a label I try to make some music that I think would sit well with them so I guess the decision making starts pretty early.

3. What is the story behind this track?

As I previously said I was really hoping to follow up my last release on Rejected with something new this year. Funnily enough ‘Revoke’ feels like it could have worked well on an EP with ‘Call Upon Me’ but I hadn’t made it by that point. We actually put this release together really quickly – both Rejected and I had a window in April to release it so here we are.

4. What else do you have coming up this year?

I recently did a remix for The Mambo Brothers on Saved Recordings, and I have a couple of remixes coming soon on Gari Recs, Elrow, and Defected. Later on this year I’ll have an EP released on Stereo and a few other bits I can’t mention just yet.

5. What is your favorite Joris Voorn song?

Has to be one of the classics from Joris – probably “Incident” – definitely a big inspiration for me!
