Penguin Prison spun indie-pop gold once again on his new EP Turn It Up earlier this year. Now he is turning to other producers for a few remixes. He has tapped Chicago-based producer Sam Padrul and Canada's Gramercy (who has quite the resume in pop music with working for the likes of Nicki Minaj & David Guetta) for remixes.

Sam Padrul is up first and he keeps much of the original feel of the song, but gives it a dreamier, synth-heavy sound. It is a bit smoother and will work for those who want to sway back and forth on the dancefloor thinking of speeding away in a DeLorean with a special someone later that night.

“A big fan of Penguin Prison to begin with, I was pumped to put my own spin on this tune! I loved the vocal line, and I wanted to impart a retro feeling while maintaining an energy that people could move their heads to,” Sam Padrul tells Magnetic. “I’m glad to have had the chance to remix this one!”

Gramercy strips back many of the indie-pop elements of the original. He adds his own arpeggiated melody and dreamy chords over a sturdy bass line, while distorting Chris Glover’s vocal to fit his interpretation.

"This Gramercy remix of 'Keep Coming Alive' takes you to a grimy, dark, sweaty club,” Gramercy explains to Magnetic. “I look forward to playing this version in my DJ sets! I love how he took just one part of the song and extended it across the entire remix - it’s a more sensual, mysterious version than the original!”

The remixes will be released tomorrow, April 6. Until then, stream them below.
