1. Transmission Festival, the Czech Republic, 27 October

The Transmission Festival is a special event in the world of electronic music in the capital of the Czech Republic, combining the performance of famous DJs, light and laser shows, excellent sound, and an amazing performance on stage. Every year, Transmission is dedicated to a specific topic. So, the festival is not individual performances of artists but a single story told by different DJs, accompanied by spectacular laser and light shows, video clips, and short film screensavers. A first-class sound and an impressive picture are the distinctive features of Transmission. Since 2014, the Transmission Festival has expanded its borders and was first held in the Slovak capital of Bratislava. Later the similar show was shown on three continents: in Europe, Australia, and Asia. A high level of the organization of Transmission and famous musicians are the key to the success of the festival.

2. Sonar, ​​Spain, 14, 15 & 16 June

The music festival Sonar has been gaining momentum from year to year and is considered one of the most famous music festivals in Europe. Every year, Barcelona is filled with thousands of fans of electronic music from all over Europe. Usually, they can be recognized by hefty sunglasses, very fashionable slippers and a swift march towards the venue of the festival. During its existence, Sonar became a living legend. Here come the stars of electronic music of a planetary scale – progressive musicians and DJs. And thousands of fans of electronic dance music hang out days and nights, watch audio-visual installations, and listen to DJ sets, music groups, and artists.

3. Nature One, Germany 3, 4, & 5 August

The history of German Nature One begins in 1995. For the first time, the festival collected 13,000 fans of electronic music on the territory of the former military airfield. Since then, the party moved to the nearby former missile base, built camping and acquired thousands of new fans. After the closing of the most famous in Germany electronic festival Loveparade, Nature One became a magnet for German fans of electronic music. Every year, they build unusual 3D structures floating above the stage and launch wonderful fireworks.

4. Tomorrowland, Belgium, 20-22 & 27-29 July

This world’s largest festival of electronic dance music was founded in 2005. Here are the most popular DJs of the planet (Armin van Buuren, David Guetta, Paul van Dyk, Tiësto, Sven Väth and others). Tomorrowland is not just a music festival. It is a huge playground for adults with theatrical scenery, laser and fire shows, futuristic installations that resemble scenes from the films of Tim Burton. Performances of artists are accompanied by fireworks and special effects, giving the event the feeling of unreality.

5. Distortion, Denmark, 30 May – 3 June

Distortion is a festival of electronic music (techno, house, and bass), which takes place on city streets, in the districts of Nørrebro and Vesterbro. For three days, from Wednesday to Friday, there is also a series of closed parties in the underground Distortion club, for which a special ticket is needed. The headliners of the last festival were Maceo Plex (USA), Tale of Us (Italy), Yellow Claw (The Netherlands), What So Not (Australia). The participants of this year have not yet been announced.
