Dance music orchestras are all the range right now with the likes of Pete Tong and deadmau5 using them effectively. They have also been seen covering dance music classics all over the world, giving the tracks a more organic and laidback feel. Now a 70-piece orchestra, under the direction of Thomas Roussel, took over Le Grand Rex concert hall in Paris to celebrate 15 years of seminal French label, Ed Banger Records. They played interpretations of songs by Justice, Cassius, SebastiAn, DJ Mehdi and others.
During the concert, the orchestra played selections like Justice “Genesis,” Laurent Garnier “Jacques In the Box,” Cassius “I Love You So” and DJ Mehdi “Pocket Piano.”
