Minty Burns

Curious and captivating, Toronto’s stoner rapper Minty Burns has been releasing music since 2014 and made waves with his collaborations with Zoey Dollaz, Lil Duke, and Big Lean. Since his debut album The Golden Ticket, Minty has accumulated over 500K streams across Spotify and SoundCloud, and built a loyal following.

Spending his time across Toronto, Los Angeles, and New York, Minty Burns has been able to make his mark from coast to coast within the music and cannabis scenes alike. Minty Burns also designs and manages his own clothing line, The Dispensary, which is currently sold online and in cannabis shops around Toronto. This year, Minty will be taking The Dispensary brand to the next level by releasing more merch, custom pieces, and announcing a mixtape of the same name, so keep an eye out.

We asked the stoner rapper to curate this week’s Weedsay Playlist for your listening pleasure. Enjoy!

“Doobie Ashtray” by Devin The Dude

This song is the theme song to the first years I started smoking heavily in high school. Back then, we didn’t always have a lot of weed, so I used to save roaches up and roll my left overs to this song.

“Car Service” by Wiz Khalifa ft Currency

These were the times I would get most of my music off a blog and Wiz was coming up killing the mixtape game. This beat is so classic sounding and Wiz just comes in rip talking that shit. Currency gives you that Spitta vibe and his verse makes it a stoner classic.

“Break The Bank” by Schoolboy Q

I love this joint because Alchemist is on the production and Schoolboy just embodies every verse with that laid back Cali swag. This is something to smoke to and make your head knock. It might just make you get up and want to do push ups in the middle of your session.

“All Da Smoke” by Young Thug & Future

This record right here makes you want to boss up and get on your toes. You definitely want to be in party mode when it comes on. I first heard it in the studio and after that I started hearing it everywhere. I think it’s one of the stand out songs on the Super Slimey project.

“Green Man” by Minty Burns

I couldn’t make a Weedsday Playlist without adding my new song “Green Man.” The snappy production and money getting raps gives smokers something to knock to at home, on the road or in the club. I made this song for anyone that loves money and weed. #GREENMAN is out now on all platforms.
